Jealous

What a view.

Uh-oh

The season 3 promo for Dexter.
It sucks that I don't get ShowTime
TGFI, tho! (Thank Goodness for iTunes!)

Project Runway!

I have never been more excited for a season premiere!
AND, it was fab!
Loved Lindsay's appearance -
shows she not as delusional
as the media portrays her.

Thursday's might just be my new Sunday..

Movies

In the last couple of weeks I saw 3 movies in Theater.
Alone? Why yes, I was.
This isn't abnormal for me,
just a product of my fierce independence.

1. G.I. Joe.
Channing Tatum was in it, that was my 6 bucks right there. $6? Yeah, it was matinée! JGL was in it for like 2.5 seconds before he was abominably unrecognizable. Total buzz kill. Other than that, the action was good. And I hate action movies.

2. The Goods.
What a waste of life. Seriously, there are only so many "comedies" that can make fun of strippers and boy bands. I love Jeremy Piven and not even he could save this movie.

3. Bandslam.
I read a review online about how this movie was badly marketed. This is the only reason I went to see it. And guess what? This movie was badly marketed. Badly is even an understatement. Bandslam (originally titled Will) is a lot more Charlie Bartlett meets School of Rock than its HSM persona. Children wouldn't understand half of the references in this film. J'adored it though. Surprisingly, it was quirky and cute.

Friday, I'm seeing Post Grad. With or without company. ;o)

Distraught.

RU wants 2x as much for a parking pass this year.
I'm not really down for paying 300 bucks.
Looks like I'm back to hiking 4 miles a day.

What sucks most about this:
I'm confined to only sneakers and Uggs.

Alice in Wonderland ♥

"There's no use trying," she said. "One can't believe impossible things." "I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it half an hour a day. Why, sometimes, I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." - Lewis Carroll

Thanks, Amazon.

Without you, I would have never known to buy Continuum.
Seriously..

Old Books

This picture captures a smell.
I want to bottle it.

Presents, please?

It's 87 days until my birthday,
and this is ALL I want.
(well, along with an iPod touch!)

The Alchemist

I read The Alchemist a few years ago and it is by far one of my favorite books. I adore books with great quotes. Here are a few of my favorite:

"Whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you really want something, it’s because that desire originated in the soul of the universe. It’s your mission on earth. And when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."

"I learned that the world has a soul, and that whoever understands that soul can also understand the language of things. I learned that many alchemists realized their destinies, and wound up discovering the Soul of the World, the Philosopher’s Stone, and the Elixir of Life. But above all, I learned that these things are all so simple they could be written on the surface of an emerald.”

“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”

Dear Anna

We've missed you.

James Franco

Love him.

Love, Love, Love

This may be my new favorite album.

Zooey Deschanel and Bones are sisters??
Who knew!

Although I've never counted success in dollar signs, I've come to the realization that I need to make a decent amount of money when I grow up.
I hear therapy's expensive.

[CR]iMix

Since it's "One of Those Days" where I can't stand people, I've decided to stay in bed and put my newest Mix on repeat. I've Emo-ly named it [CR]iMix.

It's One of Those Days

One, 21 Guns

I can't explain how much I love this song. It's definitely my favorite off the new Greenday album. I've haven't really listened-listened to it until today and I must say that it's beautiful. It's complex yet poetic - just the way i like it!

The line "One, 21 guns," is gorgeous, both lyrically and sonically. After all, it encourages a final 21 gun solute - the highest honor during military ceremony. You could look at this song as being "anti-war," especially after American Idiot, but it can easily convey a relationship between two people. The greatest works of art are chameleonic and I love that "21 Guns" can be understood and appreciated in many different ways.

If you haven't done so already,
you should def. take a listen:

Crash

"It's the sense of touch. In any real city, you walk, you know? You brush past people, people bump into you. [In this city], nobody touches you. We're always behind this metal and glass. I think we miss that touch so much that we crash into each other, just so we can feel something."

I Must Have These!!

I'm yelling for Bea to give me her Macy's card as I type this.
That's how nessecary they are!

Finally!

I saw it. And it was great.
Exceeded expectations . .
. . By far.

High Ceilings

To Die For.
Again, I want this apartment.

Chill Out Playlist

On repeat.

iLove [JM & JGL edition]

Today has just been full of goodness.

First, I wake up to a live stream of John Mayer's radio show.

And now.. a JGL podcast.

My inner dweeb is having a very good day.
